Greetings to you in the name of our Father’s Son Jesus Christ who does EVERYTHING good.
It is God’s will that we are to be useful
to others. Being selfish is not Christianity.
Jonah was told by God to inform the people
of Nineveh about the upcoming destruction.
He left his dwelling like a great minister
to accomplish God’s task but chose his favourite destination for his benefit. (Jonah
1:3)
God handed the responsibility to us for
proclaiming gospel to the perishing people who are in sin (Math 28:19)
Do not run and take refuge in your chosen
favorite, convenient Tarshish in the name of a servant of the Lord – selecting your
own favorite work / family / disability / busy / not enough age for ministry /
not enough experience etc.
Before the turbulence of the sea, and the
storm, before all those who supported us throw into the turbulence – before struggling
to live in the breath of the fish - strive to do the duty entrusted to us.
Before people gather to throw us out of
the boat into sea and a fish to swallow so to spat out at Nineveh, start doing
our responsibilities.
Our God is waiting on the threshold for us
to dress, recognize and bless us with new clothes. Luke 15: 20-22
