#122 Question:
I am looking for someone to help reveal the answer to
this question. If you have time answer me.
Why Noah made the Ark in 40
days,
why the rain/storm lasted for 40days,
Why the Israelites walked through the desert for 40 years ,
Why the tower of barbel was built in 40
days,
Why Jesus Christ fasted for 40days,
and He ascended to heaven after 40
days.
And they say Life begins at 40.
Even Pass mark starts at 40.
And they also say "A fool @ 40
is a fool forever".
What's so special about 40?
If you don't have an answer, please send to others, we
might get an answer.
A crucial question Pls I need an answer
Answer:
While we read the commandments, promises & instructions of
God, we need to look into the numbers as a separate subject while reading / analyzing
the Bible !!
This is not something that I say simple or uniform.
The mind of our Magnificent God is a treasure to learn.
Every person needs to see the uses of the numbers and find out the
wisdom and meanings are.
If you read the Bible closely with your mathematics mind you will
notice the following meaning. I wrote detailed article on these numbers sometime
back as Daily Dose.
1 represents God
2 represents Division
3 represents God Head
4 represents World
5 represents Grace
6 represents Mortality
7 represents Perfect
8 represents New Beginning
9 represents Finality or Judgement
10 represents Totality
The number 40 (4 world x 10 Totality) has something to do with
"coming into maturity or fulfillment" [or a complete time of trial]
I base this on the following:
1. 40 days and nights of rain for the destruction of the earth in
the flood (Genesis 7)
2. Moses on the Mountain of God for 40 days and nights to receive
the message of God. (Exodus 24)
3. The punishment of Israel to wander in the wilderness for 40
years (Numbers 14)
4. The maximum punishment with a whip was 40 lashes (Deuteronomy
25:3)
5. Jesus wandered in the wilderness 40 days and nights (Matthew 4)
6. Jesus was with his disciples 40 days from his resurrection to
his accession. (Acts 1:3)
In each case, something is being sought to be completed, finished
or brought into maturity.
The question that comes up in my mind is why did he stop at
40?
I'm sure that it did not take a full 40 days of rain to actually
destroy everything.
Why couldn't the maximum punishment be 37 lashes?
Could Jesus have fasted for just 30 days and accomplished the same
thing on a physical plain?
My thinking is that he wanted to establish that 40 is the number
he chose to show the completion of his goals.
Who can judge God’s mind? Rom 14:34
Hope I had answered your query..
Thanks for this interesting question brother..
