Brother does God predestine people not to understand things?
He
[Jesus] told them, ' The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to
you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so
that, they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but
never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'" (Mark
4:11-12)
Answer :Matthew 13:13 (ASV) Therefore speak I to
them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear
not, neither do they understand.
I hope the above verse Mat 13:13 answers your query.
Those who listens to Jesus - He spoke to them directly & openly.
Those who simply listens but do not WANT to understand or follow - to them - things are told indirectly !!
We could see such condition prevails even now !!
Though everything is CLEARLY written - people do not understand & assume their own policies..
