*(Collection) Feast in the name of Fasting*

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ did *neither drink nor ate for 40 days* (Lk 4:2).
No man can stay without either drink or eat for 3 or maximum 4 days. He will surely collapse.
We try to imitate Jesus Christ with what He hasn’t do in the name of fasting for 40 days like Jesus:
Drinking only juice,
Drinking only milk or
decide to eat only one meal and spend 40 days fasting.
This is not fasting but diet with self control for a sake of your own decision..
Jesus Christ told us to follow *His teachings* !!
He never said fast 40 days like me,
crucify yourself in the cross and die like me etc !!
Like Jesus, fasting for 40 days is something no one can do.
Banging the gathering with big banners;
For Fasting prayer;
Fasting melas;
Fasting worship;
21 days fasting;
One week of fasting;
Contemporary Christian companies gather with big advertisements for their money collections and money huntings.
Bible does not allow *to advertise*. If anyone wants to fast, its upto them.
But, when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that *your fasting will not be noticed by others* but by your Father who sees in secret. And your Father who is in secret will reward you." Mat 6:17-18
Christ said that they would not fast while the bridegroom was with them. Mark 2:19
Fasting does not force God to hear your prayers or make the fasting person more righteous (Isa. 58: 2-4; Zech. 7: 5-6).
Jesus warned that fast should not be visible to others (Matt. 6: 16-18).
It is purely personal between the individual and God.
Zechariah prophesied that a time would come when fasting would not be necessary (Zech. 8:19).
*This was fulfilled when Jesus was on earth*. (Matt. 9: 14-15).
However, fasting continued in practice in the early days of the New Testament.
The disciples fasted before important events or major decisions (Acts 13: 2-3; 14:23).
But there is no command or condition that Christians should fast on a particular occasion on a particular date.
It is a personal matter if any individual wants to fast for personal reasons. There is no specific restriction on that.
Do not advertise it if you need to suppress your senses to your own control to pray fervently to God.
In the New Testament the word fasting also means deep prayer !!
