May our Gracious God bless us.
In series from the past days, we are
exploring the number patterns used in Bible. Today we look at significance of
Number 5.
5- denotes God’s Grace
5 can be achieved in 2 ways.
1 (God) + 4 (World) = 5 (Grace)
3 (Godhead) + 2(division) = 5 (Grace)
5 is the number of grace, and multiplied
by itself, which is 25, is 'grace upon grace' (John 1:16).
The Ten Commandments contains two sets of
5 commandments. The first 5 commandments are related to our treatment and
relationship with God, and the last 5 concern our relationship with others
humans.
Abraham sacrificed with 5 items (Gen 15:9)
witnessing the Grace of God for HIS Promise to Abraham.
By God’s Grace, David defeated Goaliath by
picking 5 stones. Used 1 (God) stone ! (1 Sam 17:40)
God instructed Moses to prepare the holy
anointing oil with 5 spices. Exo 30:23-25
And, God instructed Moses to prepare the fragrance
with 5 spices. Exo 30:34-35
Tabernable is measured with multiples of 5
(Exo 26-28)
Outer court – 5x5,
Total pillars 60 (5 Grace x 12 Tribes)
Pillars supported the Curtains were 5x5
Curtain was divided into 5x5 squares
The brazen alter of burnt offerings – 5x5
(Exo 27:1)
Daniel prophesied of 5th Kingdom – Eternal
God’s kingdom (Dan 2:44)
Redemption of faithful is the 5th seal in
the book of Revelation! 6:9-11
(This series is just to understand the numbers
in Bible… do not get trapped in Numerology !!... that’s abomination in the Eyes
of our Lord !! beware)
May the Grace of our God be with us !!
