Is it required / mandatory / biblical that each believer has to confess their worthiness / readiness for partaking communion during communion service? I understood that some Pentecostal denominations has this practice of asking believers to confess their readiness / worthiness and communion will be given only for those who do so.
Answer :
Improper understanding on Lord's supper leads to vain in spirit.
Lord Supper is the act of remembrance of our Lord's crucifixion and death (Luke 22:14-20)
His death on the cross is important to us because it has delivered us from the Law of Moses and from the power of sin.
We understand the Corinth church had
many problems and these verses shows us how they were abusing. The
Lord’s Supper is not feast. It is a time of remembrance where the
unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine are divided between the
Christians and all partake of it.
1Corinthians 11:17-22, உங்களைப்
புகழாமல் இதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளைகொடுக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள்
கூடிவருதல் நன்மைக்கேதுவாயிராமல், தீமைக்கேதுவாயிருக்கிறதே. முதலாவது,
நீங்கள் சபையிலே கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, உங்களில் பிரிவினைகள் உண்டென்று

வெட்கப்படுத்துகிறீர்களா? உங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன்? இதைக்குறித்து
உங்களைப் புகழ்வேனோ? புகழேன்.
1- Anyone who is baptized (immersed) is worthy to partake.
2- While partaking, everyone shall meditate & remember the reason for it.(Luke 22:14-20)
3- While we partake, we proclaim that
Jesus is died for me, freed me from the Law of Moses and he comes back
to take me to Eternity. (1Cor11:24-25)
4- None can declare his worthiness in
front of the Lord...all are unworthy and fall short of Glory, we are to
reconcile every moment. The first step into the obedience is obeying
in Baptism.
5- Because we are unworthy, we require our Lord to support us every moment.
6- Is the declaration of worthiness is to confirm whether they are baptized?
