*Lent Days and the Holy Bible – Part1*

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Shepherd Jesus Christ.
People those claims themselves as Christians have begun following practices of
Catholics such as The Lent Days; it is no wonder that in the future *Mary*
may also be given an important place in their worship like the Catholics !!
*What does the Bible says about Lent*?
Nowhere in the scriptures is it said that the days of Lent are to be observed, or that these are the days of Lent. At one place in the English Bible (KJV) the word Lent appears in 1Samuel 2:20. But the meaning is different !!
*Can Christian observe Lent days*?
Instead of remembering the sufferings of Christ on the first day of week, remembering Christ's suffering *once a year with certain fasting is the pure teaching of men*. "It is purely man’s teaching if anyone preaches to refrain from any food".
… I am surprised that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel, which is not another gospel, only there are some who are confusing you, and wanting to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach any gospel to you other than what we preached to you, let him be accursed. And now, as we have said before, I am saying again: If anyone preaches any gospel to you other than what you received, let him be accursed. Gal. 1:6-10
Anyone who goes on and does not keep to the teaching of Christ, has not God: he who keeps to the teaching has the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
*What is wrong in observing Lent*?
Bible commands us to remember Christ’s death weekly;
It is unscriptural to follow the days of Lent as a once-a-year fast for what is not said and commanded.
For the time is coming (already came in our midst !!) when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded.. 2Tim. 4:3-5
