Greetings to you in the name our Lord Jesus Christ, who saved us through Baptism.
Lets look at the different type of Baptism mentioned in New Testament.
1-Noah and his family members, (total 8) were saved in the flood, is denoted a type of Baptism – 1 Pet. 3:20-21
2-Israelites crossed the Red sea – denoted a type of Baptism. 1 Cor. 10:1-2
3-Though Jews confessed their sins, but John The Baptist, had been Baptizing them for the repentance. Mt. 3:3-6, 11, Mk. 1:4, Lk. 3:3, Acts 19:4
4-Jesus took Baptism to fulfill the righteousness of God. Mt. 3:15
5-Burning and destroying those who do not accept Jesus by the time Christ's return - refers to Baptism of Fire. Mt. 3: 11-12; Luke 3: 16,17 (Those craving for fire baptism, should take note of this !! )
6-Christ went through tribulation at the cross for all of our sins – referred a type of Baptism. Mt. 20:22-23; Mk. 10:38-39; Luke 12:50
7-Baptism of Holy Spirit – given to 12 Apostles. Acts 2:17-18
8-Certain Jewish people, in their wrong belief, were baptizing the dead bodies with a thought that might assist the dead can get inside heaven. Such dead body can neither believe nor repent, which is useless. 1 Cor. 15:29
9-The baptism that is commanded to all of us is given for *forgiveness of sins* according to the command of Jesus Christ - Mark 16:16, Acts 22:16, 2:38
Though almost 15 types mentioned in Bible, the above are direct references for type of Baptisms.
The only *ONE BAPTISM* commanded for us is last of list in # 9 !!
