May the Graceful God bless us.
As man grows, knowledge grows.
*Along with knowledge, self-confidence* becomes excessive ..
As self-confidence increases, the focus decreases on being in control of externalities.
(2 Samuel chapter 11)
despite knowing she is someone's wife, he called her (v. 3),
Inquiry into health is selfishness (v. 7),
hypocrisy in counseling (v. 8),
Sending compliments also with cunningness (v. 8),
pleasing others for the Self-profit (v. 13),
despite knowing that he is a selfless and virtuous warrior (v. 11),
Unbeknownst to the very carrier, King David has sent a handwritten letter to kill the bearer (v. 15),
The character of the self hid and grew and caused evil. * 2 Sam. 11: 1-15
Self-arrogance,
Self-thinking,
Self-confidence,
If we grew up thinking that everything we thought was right ...
eventually all will result in error.
Further -
being a neighbour,
which is a King's palace,
having all chances that he roams out in the balcony,
Bathsheba bathed openly outside. 2 Sam.11: 2
Without appealing to the husband,
About what has happened to her in whole heartedly,
Bathsheba sends a message to her false lover. 2 Sam.11: 5
Upon hearing of this news,
as failed in all chances to impose the seed of pregnancy on own husband, led David to murder. 2 Sam. 11: 6, 8, 12, 14-15)
Let, all the development of telecommunications, make-ups, scientific development, technology advancement, fashion civilization, richness in speech, progress in talents, be used for our good and witness to God and let that civilization should not allow us to destroy ourselves.
Let us continue our journey to everlasting life *with patience, Godliness, and temperance* (1 Corinthians 9:25).
