Question: (Part 1)

Pls clarify
Muslims claims that Biblical verses claimed to be prophecies of Muhammad:

1)
Deuteronomy 18:18  I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.'

Answer:
The prophet mentioned in this verse refers to Jesus Christ.

This was evidently looped by the Apostles in the following verses.
John 1:45; Acts 3:22-23, Acts 7:37

The Similarities between Moses & Jesus is tabulated below for your ready reference.

Moses - Escaped being killed as a baby when the decree of a king (Pharaoh) had condemned all male infants to death (Ex 1:8–22)
Jesus - Escaped being killed as a baby when the decree of a king (Herod) had condemned all male infants to death (Mt 2:1–16)

Moses - Was not an Egyptian, but lived among Egyptians (who preserved his life) when an infant (Ex 2:1–10)
Jesus - Was not an Egyptian, but lived among Egyptians (who preserved his life) when an infant (Mt 2:13–15)

Moses - Was raised with the legal right to become a king but belonged to a nation (Israel) oppressed by a pagan and foreign government (Egypt)
Jesus – Was raised with the legal right to become a king but belonged to a nation (Judah-Israel) ruled by a pagan and foreign government (Rome)

Moses - Freed his people from slavery through a “lamb ... without blemish, a male of the first year” (Ex 12:5)
Jesus - Freed his people from sin through his own blood, being the “lamb of God” without blemish (Jn 1:29; 1Pt 1:19)

Moses - Came out of Egypt (Ex 13:8–9)
Jesus  - Returned out of Egypt (Mt 2:14–15)

Moses - Passed through the Red Sea (Ex 14:21–28)
Jesus - Passed through the waters of baptism (Mt 3:13–16)

Moses - Spent forty years in wilderness (Deut 8:2)
Jesus - Spent forty days in wilderness (Mt 4:1–2; Mk 1:13; Lk 4:1–2)

Moses - Fasted for forty days and forty nights (Ex 24:17–18; Deut 9:9)
Jesus – Fasted for forty days and forty nights (Mt 4:1–2)

Moses - While in the wilderness, was administered to by angels and was tempted (Ex 23:20–23; 17:2, 7)
Jesus - While in the wilderness, was administered to by angels and was tempted (Mk. 1:12–13; Mt 4:8–11)

Moses - Gave the law from a mountain (Ex 19–24)
Jesus - Gave the new law from a mountain (Mt 5–7)

And still more and more !!!

*** Thus, Deuteronomy 18:18 clearly refers to Jesus Christ and not to anyone else… The person they claim is not fulfilling the similarities between Moses and himself….

Will answer other questions in separate part.
