#146 Question : IS LORD JESUS TALKS ABOUT HIS suffering before he performing His first miracle?

#146 Question :

IS LORD JESUS TALKS ABOUT HIS suffering before he perform his first miracle.... water into grape juice...and the kept the model to enter the lords kingdom.. baptism cleaning method of sin

LORD JESUS first miracle was turning water into wine in marriage ceremony at Canaan.

When the grape juice was short nerd .. his mother Mary informed to him-- LORD replied my time yet to come...she instructed the workers to obey LORDS instruction....... and lord Jesus performed miracle..

The customs of jews is to cleanse them while entering their house--so they store water in the jar to cleanse them- to wash their hands and foots and face..... here lord change the water into wine--grape juice............. while he spoke with nicodomous he tells him to enter in the lords kingdom one should born again in water and spirit.......and when lord Jesus with his disciples in the last supper he shows the model of lord supper... before he washes his disciples foot with water.. and ask them to do this in remembrance of me [bread and grape juice] into his body and blood.... as if my understanding is correct lord JESUS say that my turn yet to come so he is talking about his last supper and his suffering in cross.... before he perform his first miracle water into grape juice?

Answer:

1)
By saying “My hour has not come,” Jesus is referring to the hour of his death. (John 7:6,8,30; 8:20, 12:23, 13:1) He is saying He is able to help since it is not yet time for Him to leave this earth.

Mary understood that Jesus had agreed to help because she directs the servants to do whatever Jesus said.

i) Too many assume Mary had asked Jesus to perform a miracle, but such is not in this verse. She only asked Jesus to solve a problem.

ii) That Jesus chose to solve the problem with a miracle was his choice.

iii) Since verse 11 indicates this is the first miracle of Jesus, there is no reason to assume that Mary knew what Jesus would do in response to her request. For all we know, she might have thought that Jesus would go to the local merchant and he would need servants to help carry the wine back.

2)
Feet washing was to show the disciples (Apostles) how they should humble themselves.

To demonstrate his true humility, Jesus washed their feet. There was competition among his disciples. Which of them would occupy the most prominent place in the coming kingdom? The mother of James and John, made a direct appeal to Jesus for an exalted position for her sons (Mt 20:20-21).

Notice how the Lord responded (verse 24-27)

After it was all over, Jesus said, "I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you.

Hope I had clarified your question, if I understood rightly.

Thanks for this question brother
