மேய்ப்பராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் வாழ்த்துக்கள். கத்தோலிக்கர் செய்து வந்த முறைமைகளை மற்ற கிறிஸ்தவ மதத்தினரும் லெந்து நாட்களை கடைபிடிக்க துவங்கியதை பார்க்கும் போது இனி வரும் காலங்களில் அவர்களை போல இவர்களும் மரியாளுக்கு ஒரு இடத்தை ஆராதனையில் ஒதுக்கவும் ஆரம்பிப்பார்கள் என்றே தோன்றுகிறது. லெந்தை குறித்து வேதம் என்ன சொல்கிறது? எதையும் வேதத்தில் காணமுடியாது. ஆங்கில வேதாகமத்தில் ஒரு இடத்தில் Lent என்ற வார்த்தை வருகிறது 1 சாமு 2:20ல். ஆனால் அதன் அர்த்தமோ வேறு !! கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் லெந்த் நாட்களை கடைபிடிக்கலாமா? கிறிஸ்துவை குறித்தும் அவர் பாடுகளை குறித்தும் எல்லா வாரத்திலன் முதல் நாளிலும் நினைவுகூற வேண்டும் என்று சொல்கிறதேயன்றி – வருஷத்திற்கு ஒரு முறை இப்படி உபவாசம் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பது மனிதர்களின் துர்போதனை. எந்த ஆகாரத்தையும் விலக்கி வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று போதிப்பது மனிதனின் போதனை என்று வேதம் சொல்கிறது. கலா 1:7பி-8 …  கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசத்திலே நிலைத்திராமல் மீறி நடக்கிற எவனும் தேவனை உடையவனல்ல, கிறிஸ்துவின் உபதேசத்தில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறவனோ பிதாவையும் குமாரனையும் உடையவன். (2யோ9)   ....  சிலர் உங்களைக் கலகப்படுத்தி, கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சுவிசேஷத்தைப் புரட்ட மனதாயிருக்கிறார்களேயல்லாமல் வேறல்ல. நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்த சுவிசேஷத்தையல்லாமல், நாங்களாவது, வானத்திலிருந்து வருகிற ஒரு தூதனாவது, வேறொரு சுவிசேஷத்தை உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்தால், அவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவனாயிருக்கக்கடவன் இதை கடைபிடித்தால் என்ன தவறு? வாராவாரம் கடைபிடிக்க வேண்டிய கடமையை விட்டு வருஷத்திற்கு ஒரு முறை இப்படி செய்வது வேதத்திற்கு முரணானது. (2தீமோ4:3-5)  அவர்கள் ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்தைப் பொறுக்க மனதில்லாமல், செவித்தினவுள்ளவர்களாகி, தங்கள் சுய இச்சைகளுக்கேற்ற போதகர்களைத் தங்களுக்குத் திரளாகச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு. சத்தியத்துக்குச் செவியை விலக்கி, கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்குச் சாய்ந்துபோகுங்காலம் வரும் (வந்திருக்கறது !!) நீயோ எல்லாவற்றிலும் மனத்தெளிவுள்ளவனாயிரு.. இன்னும் இதைகுறித்து நாளை பார்ப்போம். சத்தியதிற்கு மாத்திரம் செவிசாய்ப்போம்... தேவன் நம்மோடு இருப்பார் – அப்போது ஆசீர்வாதம் நம்மோடு தங்கியிருக்கும் !! எடி ஜோயல் +968 93215440 Subscribe at https://joelsilsbee.blogspot.com

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Shepherd Jesus Christ. We could see other Christian communities began to observe the Lent days looking at Catholic’s observance. Looking at this practice, I could presume in upcoming days, they may share a place for Mary in their worship!! What does the Bible says about Lent? Nothing is seen in the Bible on this Topic. Instead in KJV version once such word appears in Bible at 1Sam2:20 – but at a different context !! Can Christian observe Lent days? Bible does not instruct us to observe Lent days instead it instructs us to remember His death at every Lord’s day. To conduct fasting is man’s vain teaching. Bible clearly says that – It is purely a man’s teaching if anyone preaches to refrain from any food. Gal 1:6-10  ….   I am surprised that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel, which is not another gospel, only there are some who are confusing you, and wanting to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach any gospel to you other than what we preached to you, let him be accursed. And now, as we have said before, I am saying again: If anyone preaches any gospel to you other than what you received, let him be accursed. What is wrong in observing Lent? Meditating about Lord’s death on yearly basis instead on the Lord’s day is against the Scripture.    (2 Ti 4:3-5) For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.  As for you, always be sober-minded..
