Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Church sermons should not be like the greetings of politicians and leaders for Christmas, Easter and other festivals celebrated by name sake Christians.
Most of the pulpits are like burning incense to their flocks with their comfortable general advise for their day to date life alone like;
be good, do not lie, do not steal, do not drink alchohol, do not smoke, attend worship regularly, talk with kindness, read Bible daily, pray well etc. This will result their flocks be at their comfortable zones without getting strengthened in Truth but as like an precocious or early rippened fruit, which is harmful.
At the beginning, it may be bitter to follow Scripture when it pinpoints and notifies every angle of your ways. But, unless the wound is not healed in time, the abscess will grow and become cancerous.
Sweet coated Truth is a lie. Let the sermon be not like of spoken by Herod nor satan’s commentary on Psalms 91 to our Christ. (Acts 12:21-22, Mt. 4:6)
Repentance is needed, not disconnection.
Christ will turn us away if we do not abide in His teaching either until our death or by the coming of Christ.
Just as we begin each day with prayer, we are determined to change our every action according to God's Word.
He is the One who sustains us so that we may endure! 2 Cor. 10: 8, 13:10
