Question (8-Feb-2015) :
Can Ladies Preach?
Praises
to the Lord. Glad such question arises, so that we see the clarity
clearly (Ps 19:8). kindly read out the reference passages word by word
wherever i mentioned please.
The
letter to Galatians was written by Ap.Paul on the topic when Galatians
were confusing mixing up the Law of Moses and New Covenant (Gal 1:6,
2:4, 5:4-13)
As
you know, In Law of Moses, ladies were not even counted in the
generations. Difference of sex makes no difference in Christian
privileges. But under the law, the male had great privileges.Males alone
had in their body circumcision, the sign of the covenant, where as
baptism applied to male and female.
They
alone were capable of being kings and priests, whereas all of either
sex are now “kings and priests unto God” (Rev 1:6); they had prior right
to inheritances. In the resurrection the relation of the sexes shall
cease (Luk 20:35).
When
Jews accepted Christ, they were neglecting women, Gentiles and slaves
to honour, to accept and to treat fairly; because of their traditional
law.
Thus,
Ap.Paul wrote these to explain them.. Gal 3:18-29 This statement (Gal
3:28) does not authorizes women to preach over Men 1 Tim 2:12, 1 Tim 3:2
specifically states "Man with single wife / ஒரே மனைவியுடைய புருஷன்" not
the other way. Women are to teach other Women, Titus 2:3-5 We read
"The things which I write unto you...are the commandment of the Lord"
(I Cor. 14:37). Women share the image of God with men (Gen 1:27).
Together they are one in Christ (Gal. 3:28). None has greater value than
the other. It is a matter of divine decree.
Hope the above clarifies.
