Attending Hindu friend's wedding in a mandapam where homagundam (samiyaar performing mandaram for hours takes place)....????
The
time is precious. This shall be avoided. Though we are not partaking in
their ceremony, but sitting in that location for hours; conveys /
transforms two things basically..
a-
The slogans & mantras are heard continuously though you don’t give
attention. Those sounds will obviously be heard in your ears even you
come out of that function.
b-
Though the faith is strong in you, other non-Christian might look at
you and will compromise his thought on your faith. 1Co 8:10 -13 எப்படியெனில், அறிவுள்ளவனாகிய உன்னை விக்கிரகக்கோவிலிலே பந்தியிருக்க ஒருவன் கண்டால், பலவீனனாயிருக்கிற அவனுடைய மனச்சாட்சி விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டவைகளைப் புசிப்பதற்குத் துணிவுகொள்ளுமல்லவா? பலவீனமுள்ள சகோதரன் உன் அறிவினிமித்தம் கெட்டுப்போகலாமா? அவனுக்காகக் கிறிஸ்து மரித்தாரே. இப்படிச் சகோதரருக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்து, பலவீனமுள்ள அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியைப் புண்படுத்துகிறதினாலே, நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்கிறீர்கள். ஆதலால் போஜனம் என் சகோதரனுக்கு இடறலுண்டாக்கினால், நான் என் சகோதரனுக்கு இடறலுண்டாக்காதபடிக்கு, என்றைக்கும் மாம்சம் புசியாதிருப்பேன். Though the above verses say about eating, but the context is same. 1Co 10:31 ஆகையால் நீங்கள் புசித்தாலும், குடித்தாலும், எதைச் செய்தாலும், எல்லாவற்றையும் தேவனுடைய மகிமைக்கென்று செய்யுங்கள்.
