May the Lord of Peace be with you always.
The Samaritan lady ran into the village and brought many people to Christ declaring that “I have seen a man, seems He may be the Christ / Saviour whom we were waiting” (John 4:28-29)
Few preachers comment this Samaritan Lady is the first Evangelist !!
We read in verse 39, many became faithful to Christ because of that women..
But there is a lesson to be learnt from this incident.
Some came to her and persuaded to maintain their dignity, especially by saying that they did not believe in Christ *through her*, and validated their dignity before others !! (V 42)
Their minds did not accept to acknowledge the benefit that came through her, may be because of her past life.
That is, after one has repented,
Remembering his old days,
In the present,
*then the critic's own repentance is questioned* ..
The lesson we need to learn in our lives is that Jesus Christ who had already warned Peter that he would deny Christ for three times but never reminded after Jesus’ resurrection. Instead Peter was told thrice to take care of His people !! Matt. 26:34, John 21: 15,16,17
Not just the flaws always but also the credits should not be missed.
