Brother can you clarify 1 Corinthians 15 :29 which states about taking baptism for dead people. Can I take baptism for my dead father

Paul was referring about the resurrection of dead in Christ's return as there was another crowd arguing that no resurrection after death.
So he was asking them, if there is no resurrection why were they baptizing the dead?

Scripture says, only those who are taking Baptism is saved.
Please read Ezekial chapter 18 - full chapter.
You will have a very clear picture.

thank you

So sorry for the unbearable loss.
Our sincere condolences for you and the family.
Except our Lord Jesus and our Father in Heaven, none can comfort you at this situation and none can fulfill in this world anymore.
I fervently pray that our Father in Heaven comfort you and console you to come out of this situation.

In regards to your question, i would like to refer our Bible to clarify few points.
No mortal/living man could visit heaven and return back to earth to get the updates of current events there. (Luke 16:26)
None can go to heaven and get you update. Because, Heaven is the final place for the righteous people.
That happens after our saviour & Lord Jesus Christ comes back and judgement happens.(1 Cor 15:23-24)

We have a firm assurance and confirmation from our Lord that anyone who did the following steps,
will surely reaches Heaven:

1. Hears the Gospel. (Romans 10:17, John 8:32)
2. Believes the Gospel (Hebrews 11:6, John 20:31)
3. Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30)
4. Confess faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:10, Matthew 10:32)
5. Be Baptized (Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38)
6. Be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10)

In the case of your father, since you are not sure whether he accepted Christ,
looking at your faith, I believe that he did the above according to our Lord's instruction
and we all hope to see him in heaven.

Please do attend the Lord's church weekly and strengthen your faith.
May the peace of our Lord be with you.
