Where is Trinity in Bible?

Question : Where is Trinity in Bible?

Dear Mr.Eddy
Is the word Trinity in Bible? Do you hold the same doctrine?
Pls explain.
-Kumar Rajan

Dear Mr.Kumar,
The word "trinity" is not found in the Bible.
For Sure, The Bible does refer to The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with  each of them described as "God."

The term "God" is applied not only to the Father, but to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5.3-4).
It is also applied to Jesus (Heb. 1:8).

At the same time the Bible repeatedly states that God is one (Deut. 6:4).

The terms to describe this reality about God which seems mysterious to unbelievers.
I have no quarrel with the man who uses the term "trinity" to describe the sacred three, nor have I any dispute with the man who does not use the term.

The word is very similar in intent to Paul's word "godhead" (Col.2:9).
